Captain Glenn Myers and Laurie Lengyel were flying an RF4-C Phantom II (photo reconnaissance) out of Tan Son Nhut Air Base, South Vietnam. They were shot down by 100 MM AA near Dong Hoi on a combat mission on August 9th, 1967.

Glenn Myers was reported missing in action for 31 months. His status was changed to prisoner of war March 9th, 1970 when his first letter was received. He was held in a North Vietnamese prison camp for five years, seven months.
