Ejections are a popular and dramatic component in adventure stories portrayed in magazines, comics, novels, T.V. programmes and cinematic films. This small listing represents a sample selection. Thanks to Mike Tighe for trawling his vast collection to unearth this "gem" from Mad Magazine

 
The SIMPSONS Simpsons episode 3F08 ('Sideshow Bob's Last Gleaming') has one and maybe
two ejection scenes.

In the definite one, Bart's friend Millhouse Van Houten is sitting in a
fighter cockpit at the Springfield airshow, holding the control column and
pretending to shoot ('Take that Mom!  Take that Dad - send me to a
psychiatrist will you!') until he works up enough button-pushing frenzy to
fire the seat by mistake.

I also sort of remember that later in the episode, an F-15 pair have a
blue-on-blue while chasing Sideshow Bob's stolen Wright Flyer replica out
into the desert, leaving both pilots descending in their 'chutes' but I
would have to see the show again to be sure...  The on-line synopsis at
http://bbc.net.uk/cult/simpsons/episodeguide/season7/page9.shtml doesn't
mention the details to that level.
