| Josef Raesch of Jagdstaffel 43
was shot down on 25 July 1918, by South African ace Ivan Hind of
40 Squadron flying Sopwith Camel. Raesch used a Heinecke
parachute and bailed out of his burning Fokker and sustained
minor burn injuries. At the time of his parachute descent Raesh
had scored three victories. He went on to score a further four
by the end of hostilities.
