" . . . ejection on April 20, 1965 just north of Vinh. My Mk 81 bombs malfunctioned on a night bombing mission and blew me out of the sky. Fortunately my Rapec seat worked as advertised.

I was able to evade capture for 4 days but was finally tracked down with 2 very well trained German Shepherd dogs. Was a POW till 2-12-73."
