FEEDBACK I found a photo, taken from TV of the 18th September 1991 Mig-21bis ejection serial 17109, shot down by AAA near Ogulin, Captain Goran Mandic captured, showing Capt Mandic immediately after his capture (the title say 'captured pilot') when he is talking to his commander in Bihac (his plane was of the 124.lae/117.lap based in Bihac - although there was a war you could talk by telephone to the enemy side) saying he was OK and beging the commander not to bomb any more the Ogulin area where he was shot down.

FEEDBACK
I looked at your web site - the Yugoslav section which is under 'building' and noticed you have changed the flag adding the five pointed red star. This is OK but only until 1992. From 1992 on you should put the flag without the red star. I dont know if it is a problem to you because of the name of the Air Force JRV, in both cases the Yugoslav AF but maybe you should change the name from 1992 on in Serbian AF or New Yugoslavian AF or something like that. Because until 1991/92 and after that the country was different (in area and population as well as AF organisation) so it should not be mixed. Even the official names were different - until 1991 it was JRV after that RVVJ then RVSiCG.
I hope you understand what I meant - despite the same name the country was totaly different.

Feedback

Mike,

Found you page looking for some data on ejection seats. Very nice site you have that must require lots of work to maintain.
I would like to point out what I think is incorrect about Yugoslav AF MiG 29 shot down near Slavonski Brod, Croatia on 2ndMay 1992. I was a witnees of that attack, 2 MiG-21's and 2 29's were involved. NONE of MiG 29's were shot down not even hit. Aircraft that was shot down was MiG 21 bis hit by SA-16 Igla missile. Pilot (cpt.Slobodan Medic) did not eject and he perished in the crash. Aircraft crashed on Croatian side of the River Sava 3 km east of the city. Story about MiG 29 shot down I heard and read from various sources but that simply never happened.

Best regards,
Nenad

Feedback

Mike,
After I sent an email to you I opened Yugoslav page on your site and found that you have cpt.Slobodan Medic listed as shot down
near town of Djakovo and captured. That is obviously incorrect and probable mixed up with another YU pilot shot down near town of Djakovo and captured (MiG 21 as well). That information is correct I just can't remember the name of the pilot. Maybe when
I get back home and take a look at my records. Anyway, cpt.Medic had no chance to eject since he had less than 150 m of altitude and his plane got inverted moments after being hit. (which may indicate that he was killed/incapacitated by the missile hit).

Don't know what are the requirements for the event to be listed on your page but in this particular one pilot did not eject.
Yes, you can have my name, Nenad Setina (as in my email address :-))

Off topic question for you. Do you have something like photos or drawings of Folland ejection seats that are used in Soko G-2
Galeb and J-21 Jastreb airplanes, or if you can point me into the right direction? What I found on the WEB were nice photos
but usually of very small size and even lower resolution. My interest is of practical nature, scale modeling.
Thanks!

Nenad
