Barsov, took off from the Ukraine last Oct. 9 in a two-engined Russian bomber, crash-landed at Hoersching air base near Linz. Austria, ten miles inside the American zone, and refused to return to the Soviet Union.

near the Millerovo, on
the edge of Maryevka village, airfield 220 kilometers (130
miles) north of the regional center, Rostov-on-Don,
in the Rostov Region in southern Russia. Both
pilots were recovered by Mi-8 rescue
helicopters and taken to a military hospital at the
Millerovo airfield. |
