Hello, Mike.
One year ago I promiss send to yure information about Korean war ejections. In this list present information not only about ejected but killed pilots too. Sources I post later (ok?):

According closed military report (now that information non secret) Soviet Air Forces since November-1950 till December-1951 have made 19203 combat flights, having carried out 307 air combats day and 16 night. The losses have made 34 pilots and 71 plane MiG-15bis.
For 1952 it is made 23539 combat flights day and 1062 night. There were 868 air combat day and 32 night. Losses: 51 pilot and 172 planes.
In total during war lost for all reasons:
Soviet Union:  335 planes (almost all MiG-15bis) and 120 pilots (in 63229 combat flights and 1790 air combats).
China Air Force: 231 airplane and 126 pilots (in 366 air combats).
North Korea: about 150 aircraft (mainly piston)

The Soviet pilots downed or crashed in the Korean war 1950-1953 (Crews of brought down planes A-20G (04.09.1950) and Il-12 (27.07.1953) are not included in the list, only one aircraft La-11 all other MiG-15):

killed

Several versions of the events surrounding the loss of the aircraft exist.
i. The two Soviet crew deliberately ignored an instruction to crash land fearing that it would cause many civilian fatalities. They refused eject to safety and were both killed in the crash. They became celebrated figures in the USSR
ii. Speculation that one of the crew was attempting to defect to the west and as a result the pilot was shot by the navigator. It has been alleged that neither ejection seat was armed.
