CRASH D’UN AVION MILITAIRE À ORAN
Plus de peur que de malUn
avion de chasse probablement un Mig 23, stationné à la base de Tafraoui s’est
écrasé hier aux environs de 11 heures dans un massif boisé au lieu dit Sidi
Bakhti non loin de Boutlelis, une localité rattachée à la daïra de Aïn Kerma à
la sortie sudouest d’Oran. Le pilote qui est sorti indemne en réussissant à
s’éjecter de l’appareil, a pu, grâce à une bonne maîtrise, éviter à l’avion de
s’écraser sur une zone peuplée ce qui aurait pu avoir des conséquences
dramatiques.

The above information is extracted from the considerable media speculation and
reports.
NO - The aircraft was on a test flight over
the Mediterranean sea and made a Mach bang. Algerian media mis-reported
the incident. The aircraft landed safely and normally at Bousfer air
base
YES - It has also been reported that this was
single seat MiG-29 the pilot ejected OK
YES - It has also been reported that this was two seat MiG-29U and both
instructor and student ejected OK. The pilot took avoiding action to avoid
ground casualties
