Yak-141  Advanced Short Take Off and Vertical Landing [ASTVOL] crashed while conducting tests from Kiev Class Admiral Gorshkov, which was in the Severomorsk harbour in the Baring Sea. Final approach appeared to be descending too rapidly and crashed onto the deck of the carrier.
