PAF M. Matiur Rahman attempted to
fly the aircraft to join the liberation movement of Bangladesh. His
fellow pilot Minhas Shaheed regained control of the aircraft that
subsequently crashed killing both crew.
Although the aircraft and crew were both from Pakistan, Rahman is
seen by some in Bangla Desh as one of their first aviator losses. |
