Conflicting early reports-

Three plane formation practising formation flight

possibly the tail of one plane hit another during the practice.
OR
Control loss at high speed and low altitude while avoiding college building. Crashed  into a toor dal field in Naubad on the outskirts of Bidar, in north Karnataka  about 700 km from Bangalore

Awaiting further confirmation of events.

Bidar Air Force Base No aircraft was lost. One crew member suffered a heart attack when the aircraft had landed     Martin-Baker
Wing Commander Dhaliwal Squadron Leader Vikas Sharma (34) suffered a heart attack on landing . He died of a massive cardiac arrest on the way to the Air Force Medical Centre Martin-Baker

Surya Kiran Kalaikunda airbase Crashed during take off after refueling at Bhubaneswar Airport on way to Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh pilot Wing Commander Rajat Tyagi quickly ejected himself"

It is believed that the pilot was able to get out by himself without using the ejection seat
