I get many requests for help in finding former friends and members of many Squadrons and Units. The requests are usually limited to appearing on the page where a loss is recorded. My name is Jim Gindele ATN-3 VA-145...NAS Whidbey..68 and 69. I stumbled across your site and was fascinated. It is a great site and represents a lot of work. Congratulations! The reason I stumbled across the site was because I goggled LT. James Maynard ...a friend of mine at Whidbey and on Enterprise. I have been trying to find him for years, with no success. I was on Enterprise when it caught fire and at that Time Jim befriended me not like any other officer would. I would like to make contact with him. Would you know a possible way to do this. Any help would be grateful....I've tried all the sites I know of....Together we served, Bupers, classmates and shipment etc. Sincerely Jim Gindele |

My dad, Richard Franklin Elrod, was on the ship in 1969 with William Clinton Niedecken. My dad was also killed while he was on the ship in the year of 1969 . I am trying to get some info and any pics that may be out there.
